About

Alien Poker combines two very different ideas, poker and extraterrestrial science fiction, into one of Williams’ early solid-state machines. The poker element provides the game’s scoring structure, while the alien theme gives the table its personality.

The objective is to collect cards and build valuable poker hands through the various shots and targets. That gives the game a useful strategic layer without requiring the complicated rules of a modern machine.

The basic principle is simple: improve your hand before you cash it in. Collect the cards carefully. A better hand is worth waiting for.

Guides here are compiled against the machine’s published rules, credited to what they were built from, and dated. That makes them slow: the machines standing on the most UK floors get one first — but anyone who plays this machine can write their own.
