Privacy
What we store, what we deliberately don't, who else can see it, and how to delete the lot. No boilerplate; this describes what the site actually does.

You can use almost all of Silverball without an account and without being tracked. If you make one, we store your email address, a display name, and whatever you choose to log. We never store your location, we never sell anything to anyone, and you can delete everything yourself in one step.
Rankings, results, player records, machine pages, venues, news and every derived table are open to everyone. No account, no sign-in, no wall.
We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to see which pages get read and how fast they load. Both are cookieless and aggregate: no visitor profiles, no cross-site tracking, no advertising identifiers. That is also why you have never seen a cookie banner here: we don't set anything that would need one.
Signing in stores:
- Your email address. Either you typed it for a sign-in link, or Google or Discord gave it to us when you chose to sign in with them.
- A display name, whatever you set. It defaults to the part of your email before the @, and you can change it at any time.
- Whatever you log: scores, machine ratings, your bucket list, machines you've played, leagues you belong to, players you follow, and optionally a link to your IFPA player id.
Sign-in is handled by Supabase Auth. If you use Google or Discord, we receive your email address and basic profile information and nothing else: we cannot read your contacts, your messages or your servers, and we never post anything anywhere on your behalf.
Your profile is private by default. Nothing you log appears under your name anywhere until you switch on the public-profile option in your account.
Publishing does two things, not one. It creates your shareable profile page, and it also allows your display name, score, venue and date to appear on the machine high-score boards, which anyone can see. If you only wanted the first, don't switch it on.
League tables are visible to the people in that league. If a league owner marks their league public, it can be seen by anyone; that choice belongs to the owner, so consider it before joining one.
We never store your location. When you search for machines near you, your coordinates are passed straight to Pinball Map to answer that one query and then discarded. They never go into a URL, a query string, a log file or our database.
We send one kind of email, through Resend: a sign-in link, when you ask for one.
We don't send marketing, and we don't share your address with anyone.
Four companies, each doing one job, none of them permitted to use your data for their own purposes:
- Supabase, the database and sign-in.
- Vercel, hosting, and the cookieless analytics above.
- Resend, sending email.
- Google or Discord, only if you choose one of them to sign in with.
There are no advertising networks, no data brokers, no third-party trackers and no sale of anything to anyone. If that ever changes, it changes on this page first.
Player rankings, ratings, tournament results, venues and machine listings come from IFPA, Match Play Events, Pinball Map and OPDB. We ingest them on a schedule and serve a copy; we never edit them.
So if you are an IFPA-ranked player, your competitive record is already public at the source and we are mirroring it. We can't correct it; a fix has to happen at IFPA or Match Play, and it then reaches us at the next ingest.
Your self-logged scores are kept in an entirely separate namespace from that official record, with no path between the two. A score you type in can never reach a WPPR or a rating calculation, even by accident.
Go to your account and use Delete account. It is immediate and irreversible, and it removes your profile, your email address, your scores, ratings, bucket list, played machines, follows, score confirmations and league memberships, along with the Supabase sign-in identity itself.
One consequence worth knowing before you press it: deleting your account also deletes any league you own, including the scores other members logged in it. If a league should outlive your account, transfer it to another member first.
You can also export your own data as JSON from the same page.
Two, both strictly functional: sb_profile, which holds a profile id so your casual data follows you around the site, and the Supabase session cookies that keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies, which is why there is no consent banner.
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased. The account page does all three without you having to ask anyone.
