About

Black Rose turns the classic pirate adventure into a Bally pinball game full of treasure, cannons and naval battles. John Trudeau’s design places the player aboard a pirate ship, with the aim of defeating the Black Rose and collecting as much treasure as possible.

The cannon is the star of the game, giving the player a physical feature that feels genuinely connected to the theme. The various shots and objectives gradually build towards bigger battles and treasure opportunities.

The machine is relatively straightforward to understand but rewards accurate shooting and good control. Load the cannon, make your shots and go after the treasure.

Guides here are compiled against the machine’s published rules, credited to what they were built from, and dated. That makes them slow: the machines standing on the most UK floors get one first — but anyone who plays this machine can write their own.
