Cactus Canyon is one of Bally’s most charming late-period machines, turning the Wild West into a comedy full of outlaws, saloons and shootouts. Designed by Tom Kopera and Matt Coriale, it was the last traditional pinball machine Bally and Williams made, and it has a deliberately exaggerated Western feel that makes it immediately approachable. The machines on UK floors are Chicago Gaming’s 2021 remake, built with the original designers.
The playfield revolves around completing jobs and taking on the various villains, with the mechanical train and other Western features giving the game plenty of character. Its rules are relatively straightforward compared with some of the more complicated machines from the era.
That simplicity is part of the appeal. Pick a job and get on with it; Cactus Canyon doesn’t need to make things complicated to be fun.

Completing four Quick Draws gets you Showdown multiball. Every time you complete the drops during that multiball you get a new ball added
In a shootout, watch all four Bad Guy targets while the play field is dark. The Bad Guy that pops up is the one that didn't flash.
The combo shots are the ramps and the loops. Can build to 4 way combos with 300k max value. You need 10 combos for High Noon wizard mode.
Hit Bart brother (dude in sombrero) in the head repeatedly to defeat each of the 3 bart brothers. Defeating a brother lights gun fight.
Bonus multipliers can be huge. Increase by completing top two lanes. Collect Bounty can also increase bonus multiplier
Hit Gold Mine to light and lock balls for gold mine mb. Think castle MB from medieval madness.
In Gold Mine MB, a jackpot builds motherlode value by 250k and each set of 5 jackpots increases motherlode multiplier. Infinite value?
Motherlode is cashed in at gold mine during GM MB and resets value to 250k once cashed. It can not be cashed in once MB play has ended.
Start stampede MB by hitting the major shots(ramps and loops) 3 times each. Think royal madness from MM but no need to collect anywhere.
Pay attention to the current skillshot award. With a soft plunge you can get the currently selected award (by not hitting switch).
Showdown MB can be stacked with another MB. First raise last Quick Draw, then start the other MB. Lastly, knock down the Quick Draw target.
Light lock and lock balls in the mine for multiball. All shots are initially lit for jackpots. After hitting some collect motherlode in mine
