Houdini: Master of Mystery turns the life and stage magic of Harry Houdini into a pinball adventure built around escapes, illusions and secret powers. The game uses Houdini’s famous acts as the framework for its objectives, with the player working through a series of magical challenges.
The central magic trunk and other interactive features give the machine a strong theatrical identity, while the rules are built around progressing through Houdini’s different mysteries. The result feels more like performing a series of tricks than simply completing conventional pinball modes.
The game rewards players who learn how its features connect rather than attacking the playfield randomly. Think like an escape artist: work out the trick before you try to perform it.

Houdini spells its own name from seven separate areas, and you need all seven for the wizard mode. That structure is unusually honest: it tells you exactly what it wants, and it will not let you win by being good at one thing.

Once per Stage or Film mode, hit any of the two Magic standup targets to spot a shot for you.
The Stage Alley can be backhanded--helpful when qualifying Trunk Multiball locks.
Shooting the open Stage with a clean Stage Alley shot (travels through bumpers into the Stage) starts the next Stage mode at 2X value.
King of Cards video mode; hold flipper for 2-3 bars to hit yellow hoops, for blue press and release immediately. 4 yellow hits = extra ball.
The “Milkcan Escape” stage mode is more valuable when started with no Milkcan multipliers.
Hitting all the SEANCE standups lights SEANCE multiball on the right scoop. The second time, it takes more standup hits to light multiball.
Reverse hands for straight jacket mode. Use your left hand for the right button etc...
Both Seance and Trunk Multiball may run with a Stage (Bullet Catch, Straight Jacket) or Film (Man From Beyond) multiball mode.
Milkman Multipliers do NOT multiply the Encore Bonus (after all Stage modes have been played). Only the Stage Alley shot may double it.
