Metallica Remastered takes John Borg's original Metallica design and gives it a substantial modern overhaul. The core layout remains familiar, but the game has been updated with new rules, art, lighting and physical features.
That makes it an interesting machine for players who have spent years with the original. The basic rhythm of the game is still there, but the remastered rules encourage different approaches to scoring and progression.
For UK players who know the original Metallica well, it is worth treating this as a separate game rather than simply an updated version. Forget your old strategies for a minute. The machine has changed.
