About

Stern's Pirates of the Caribbean takes the first three films and turns them into a game centred around Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones and a whole lot of treasure. Dennis Nordman designed the machine, which has become one of Stern's most respected licensed games from the 2000s.

The ship, Kraken and various character shots give it plenty of physical personality, but the real appeal is the way the game combines modes and multiballs. It is a game where understanding what to shoot next makes a huge difference to your score.

It has become a particularly desirable machine in the UK because good examples are not especially easy to find. Don't spend the whole game shooting the ship, know which character you're working towards.

Guides here are compiled against the machine’s published rules, credited to what they were built from, and dated. That makes them slow: the machines standing on the most UK floors get one first — but anyone who plays this machine can write their own.
