About

Popeye Saves the Earth takes the classic cartoon sailor and gives him an environmental mission. Bally’s machine uses Popeye, Olive Oyl, Bluto and the other characters to create a colourful game built around cleaning up pollution and saving the planet.

The playfield is packed with cartoon imagery, but the objectives are straightforward: collect the required items, complete the various tasks and work towards the larger features.

It is a playful machine with a surprisingly physical layout. Help Popeye clean up the mess, but don’t let the cartoon theme make you underestimate the shots.

Guides here are compiled against the machine’s published rules, credited to what they were built from, and dated. That makes them slow: the machines standing on the most UK floors get one first — but anyone who plays this machine can write their own.
