Shrek is a colourful Stern machine based around the characters and world of the DreamWorks films. The game uses Shrek, Fiona, Donkey and the other characters as part of a story-driven ruleset.
The playfield is packed with toys and interactive features, but the main game revolves around completing adventures and progressing through the story. That makes it immediately accessible to players who know the films.
It is deliberately playful, but the underlying game has plenty of depth once you start combining its objectives. Don’t just chase Donkey because he’s funny. Work out which story objective you’re actually advancing.
