About

The Shadow is Brian Eddy’s darker take on the 1994 film, replacing the bright comedy of his earlier games with a more sinister atmosphere and a considerably more aggressive game.

The central magnet feature is the machine’s signature attraction, but the real challenge comes from combining the various modes, ramps and objectives while dealing with a layout that can punish inaccurate shots. The game rewards players who understand how its objectives fit together rather than simply chasing whatever is flashing.

It takes a little more learning than some of Eddy’s other games, but that is part of its appeal. Learn the centre shot and understand what it is setting up before you start chasing the bigger rewards.

Silverball guide · The Shadow

Three of the four only ask you to turn up

The Shadow pays a billion points for Final Battle, and the four things that light it are mostly not achievements. Two light when a multiball ends, one lights even if you drain, and only one asks you to win anything.
