The X-Files turns Mulder and Scully’s investigations into a pinball mystery, with the game built around aliens, conspiracies and unexplained phenomena.
Sega’s design uses the show’s central themes to create investigation-based objectives, with different cases and paranormal events providing the structure for progression. The machine combines traditional 1990s pinball with features designed to make the player feel like they are investigating a case.
The best approach is to treat the table like an X-Files episode. Follow the evidence. The truth is out there, but you’ll have to make the shots to find it.

The main tournament strategy is cabinet MB(2 hits and a lock at cabinet) all day. Jackpot sequence is left ramp, left ramp, right ramp, file cabinet

Shoot left ramp three times to start Tooms-mode. Bash the "plunge" button as fast as you can for 4 seconds to earn easy points.

Shoot right ramp 3 times to spell FBI & open sewer hole for mode. At start of each ball, only one right ramp shot is required to open hole.

"Believe the lie" happened in 4th season. We saw that at Buffalo Pinball Summer Open '17.

Truth MB has jackpots at every shot.

Build jackpot value by completing spot target banks.

Terma mode lights a hurry up at left ramp. Which can be worth 420,000 immediately. This value is then lit at every shot till mode times out.

The game awards one pity shot at cabinet per ball drain. So MB will be available there on ball 3 even if you never aim for it.

Truth MB lights jackpots at all shots, but is much harder to start compared to the cabinet.

You can achieve multiball fairly easily at low risk by hitting the center filing cabinet repeatedly. Multiple multiball can occur also
