About

Total Nuclear Annihilation is a modern pinball machine built around an intentionally simple premise: the world is running out of time and you need to prevent a nuclear catastrophe.

The game takes inspiration from classic arcade games, with a clean layout and rules that focus heavily on making shots and managing a small number of clearly defined objectives. There is very little visual clutter compared with many modern machines, making the relationship between shots and progression particularly easy to understand.

The simplicity is deceptive. The game becomes increasingly demanding as you try to complete everything and reach its final objectives. Learn the shots, control the ball and don’t waste time; the clock is the enemy.

Guides here are compiled against the machine’s published rules, credited to what they were built from, and dated. That makes them slow: the machines standing on the most UK floors get one first — but anyone who plays this machine can write their own.
