WWF Royal Rumble brings professional wrestling to Data East pinball, turning wrestlers, matches and finishing moves into a collection of pinball objectives.
The game is structured around taking on opponents and progressing through matches, with the various wrestlers providing different challenges. The theme works particularly well because the exaggerated action of wrestling naturally translates into the physicality of pinball.
The temptation is to play aggressively at everything, but controlled progress is more useful. Pick your opponent, work through the match and save your finishing move for when it matters.

At ball launch select pandemonium whenever it is a choice, it makes that mode start as a three ball multiball instead of single ball play.

"Get in the Ring" and "R.I.P." Jackpots are accumulative across games, be sure to collect before your opponents do.

When you hear callout "Make the Tag", it means to press the "TAG" ball launch button three times for 5 million points, hit Tag standups to activate.

Complete both sets of "TAG" standups and hit the captive ball to get 10M points. Do it again for 20M points. A third time for "Hold bonus".

Ball shooting out of scoop just left of center ramp can usually dead flip to right inlane, allowing mode start to light at far left scoop.

Completing the drop targets on the upper playfield will increase bonus multiplier.

Collect all 9 wrestlers to light Royal Rumble multiball on ball 1 for 10 million bonus. Hit the left ramp or right orbit to start the multiball

Collect 9 wrestlers to light super jackpot in multiball. Hit left lane on upper playfield to collect. Value decreases if flippers are held.

Launching the ball automatically gives you 10M points. Get the ball in the lit lane for another 10M. Increases to 20M on your third launch.
