Elvira and the Party Monsters is an early Bally machine that established much of the visual language later used by Scared Stiff. The game is built around Elvira's humour, monsters and a deliberately outrageous party atmosphere.
The rules are relatively straightforward compared with later games, but that is part of its charm. The main shots are easy to understand and the game gets on with being entertaining.
It is not nearly as common as the bigger Elvira titles in Britain, so spotting one is a good reason to stop. Follow the party, and don't expect the machine to take itself seriously.

Elvira's multiball jackpot builds towards four million and stays there, game after game, until somebody collects it. The letters you need to reach the three million shot carry over too, so a fresh game can start most of the way to both.

Lock 3 balls in left skull shot to start MB (relight lock with J-A-M or B-A-T after MB). Shoot ramps for jackpot and then 250K Party Ramps.
Lite "Spots Letter" by completing J-A-M, B-A-T, dead heads, or with 5 left ramp combos. Spell E-L-V-I-R-A to light 3M on skull for 20s.
If the flippers are strong enough to loop left ramp, doing it for Millions + Elvira letters is a good way to play
Game has lock stealing. Also Elvira letters shared between all players.
If you have balls locked & drain on ball 3, start a new game right away & your ball locks will still be there.
