Judge Dredd is one of the most distinctive late-1990s Bally machines, taking Mega-City One and turning it into a sprawling futuristic pinball playground. The game revolves around enforcing the law, completing missions and dealing with the criminals and threats scattered across the city.
The central Justice Department features and various modes give the game a strong sense of progression, while the layout provides plenty of fast, satisfying shots.
It is a machine that rewards players who understand the mission structure rather than simply shooting for whatever is easiest. You’re the Judge. Decide what needs dealing with and go after it.

Judge Dredd hides a single standup target that is lit during every mode and does something different in each. In half of them it is worth more than any shot the mode is actually asking you to make.

During Pursuit, watch the screen to know which ramp to shoot and destroy the car (completes the mode).
Completing JUDGE to light locks at left ramp. Hole behind D safely spots letters. During multiball. left ramp lights jackpot behind D.
Continuously looping the left ramp will award 500k plus for the duration of the ball.
You can select which mode is lit with the left "fire button". Safecracker will help you light locks. Manhunt when you are collecting them.
Completing the Meltdown captive ball in normal play awards Double Bonus. If many modes have been played in a ball, this can be important.
When your locks are lit, the mode start shot is always the Sniper Tower.
If you have made decent progress in modes, DON'T TILT!
Collect 7 crime scenes to get an extra ball.
During Bad Impersonator, on a game with missing target lights, you can still determine which targets to shoot by looking at the screen.
After a skillshot, you can drain if the drainshield is still active, and try to get a 2nd skillshot. Be careful, there's no grace period!
